New spaces, stronger wellness services, and meaningful program milestones expanded how Friendship House supports independence, connection, and opportunity.

  1. New space

    A new home in Oradell

    We opened the Oradell Day Program and quickly became part of the community through partnerships, tours, and a joyful grand opening.

  2. Whole-person care

    Wellness at the center

    Our new Wellness Center strengthened our holistic approach to care and expanded the foundation for whole-person support.

  3. Program progress

    Independence in action

    The Theater Initiative returned for a second year, while Occupational Therapy continued helping members strengthen daily independence.

  4. Opportunity

    Skills and inclusion grow

    The CHOP Culinary and Hospitality Program graduated three successful cohorts as Community Inclusion support continued to expand.

Meet Tyrone

Tyrone came to Friendship House several years ago while facing depression, anxiety, and a profound loss of hope.

Through our Partial Care program and pre-vocational training, he became an engaged participant and dependable worker. Friendship House has come to feel like family and home while he continues building skills and supporting the agency around him.

A new chapter

From participant to team member

This year, Tyrone accepted a position at our Hackensack front desk. He now greets visitors with confidence, learns valuable workplace skills, and supports staff.

His growth can be seen in his independence, pride, and leadership. Tyrone’s journey shows what becomes possible when opportunity, support, and determination align.
