About

Our Story

More than six decades of building skills, creating opportunities, and supporting productive lives.

Our story

A place where people can build a life of greater possibility.

North Jersey Friendship House was established in 1964 to provide psychiatric rehabilitation in a community setting, staffed by dedicated volunteers. Today, we continue to support individuals with varying abilities providing clinical and vocational rehabilitation as well as community and day habilitation programs.

We help people build social-emotional, coping, recreational, and work-readiness skills. Our programs and services aim to support individuals in all aspects of their lives. We provide supports that empower adults beyond school, helping them live productive, connected lives in their communities.
